Prayer Support For You

It is our blessing to pray with you. If you have a prayer request, please email friendsofunityminister@gmail.com or put your request in our prayer box at the Sunday Service to be sent to Silent Unity. All requests are treated with reverence and confidentiality.

You may also wish to visit the Inspiration pages of our website for prayers, affirmations and meditations that may be a support to you.

Serving Generously

Join in the joy and peace as we give annually. We work with all we meet, and the following organizations and their efforts to serve those challenged and suffering: Song & Spirit Interfaith collaboration for CarePax support for the homeless plus God's Warehouse Detroit serving families in need (our annual PJ's for Kids drive); PFLAG for families and friends of the LGBTQ+ community Pride Outside in Canton/Plymouth; and, Miracle League serving children and families of those with special needs. Community Outreach Opportunities

CarePax Monthly Donations

Early in 2021, we began an on-going outreach effort in support of Song & Spirit interfaith agency, which serves the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless. Most-requested items for fall/winter 2023 are individual-sized items for "Care Packs" for people living on the street including:

emergency rain poncho
travel-sized toiletries
masks
lip balm/Chapstick (i.e., bulk on Amazon; needed year-round)
toilet paper (rolls wrapped individually)
feminine hygiene products
bottled water

Donations are collected at the PCAC each 2nd Sunday of the month up until 11:30 a.m.

Volunteer with Miracle League of Plymouth

Body Blankets for the Homeless

Annually volunteers sew blankets used for added warmth by those living without homes and seeking to survive in the elements. Contact friendsofunityminister@gmail.com for information related to collecting fabric annually and the next date for sewing blankets.

In Remembrance Program

The Board of Trustees, along with ideas submitted by Diane Janes, and investigation by Rev. Kathy, has adopted and formalized a program for receiving and acknowledging gifts in honor of loved ones who have transitioned. When requested, the In Remembrance program will be announced in the name of the individual identified. Prayer support, an Annual Remembrance Ceremony, and more will be shared in our community. Additionally, all donations will further the ministering work of Friends of Unity. Diane Janes will organize this year's Annual Remembrance Service scheduled for November 1st.

In Remembrance Program:

A family member of friend contacts FoU to begin our In Remembrance program.

FoU contacts Silent Unity and FoU Prayer team for prayer support.
FoU shares the name and pertinent information about the person being remembered with our FoU community.
A donate option on FoU website is created and sustained for one month.
A letter honoring the request for the In Remembrance program is sent to the requesting party; an update with names & address of those who donated is sent at the end of the month.
An annual In Remembrance service in November continues the love for those who have transitioned during the year, and during the life of Friends of Unity.
